This site is a collection of fungi observations that you can participate in by adding your own observations. Its purpose is to record observations about mushrooms, help people identify mushrooms they aren’t familiar with, and expand the community around the scientific exploration of mushrooms.

This site collects observations of living organisms, including Fungi, Animals, Plants, Protozoa, and Chromista. It is an online social network of people sharing biodiversity information to help each other learn about nature. You can use it to record your own observations, get help with identifications, collaborate with others to collect this kind of information for a common purpose, or access the observational data collected by iNaturalist users.

This site contains plenty of descriptions designed to help you find and identify wild mushrooms. Images range from full mushrooms to the spores that they create. The focus is on mushrooms of the Eastern and Midwestern US.

North American Mycological Association

NAMA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of professional and amateur mycologists with over 80 affiliated mycological societies in the United States, Canada and Mexico. LAMS is an affiliated club and members can get a discount on their NAMA membership by including our club name on the membership form.

Mycological Society of America

MSA is an international professional organization that is home to mycologists based in the United States and Canada. Mycologists, students of the Fungi, mycologues, mycophiles, fungal biologists, and all persons with a personal or professional interest in fungi are welcome.
