David Bermudes is an educator, researcher and inventor living in Los Angeles. He is currently a Professor of Biology at California State University, Northridge and teaches courses on bacteriology and fungi. While his primary research is focused on experimental therapeutics of cancer using live attenuated Salmonella, he also explores the interaction of bacteria and fungi with each other and with the environment. David’s past work includes study of the symbiotic origin and evolution of eukaryotes, orchid and bromeliad physiological ecology, and fungal bioluminescence.
