The Mojave Desert is home to many fungi, both seen and unseen. Deserts appear more flush with life after a sudden burst of rain (a familiar concept to mushroom hunters), yet fungi are ever-present. Arik will discuss both seasonal changes of mycorrhizal fungi associating with the Eastern Joshua tree, as well as the year-to-year fluctuations of post-fire soil fungi following the devastating Dome Fire of 2020.
