Student membership is only $15 per year. You may use PayPal like this:
  • Purchase a regular LAMS membership for $25.
  • Send an including your proof of current student status.
  • If it looks good, we will refund the PayPal payment $10.

LAMS membership has several benefits:
  • The newsletter of LAMS is called The Spore Print and is published during the LAMS season of October through June. It is a collection of mushroom related news articles from all around the globe. You'll also find a calendar of events, some near, some far, that are a nice way to get more involved with the mushroom community.
  • LAMS will purchase mushroom themed items like books, growing kits, shirts, totes, posters, and other merchandise to sell at the annual Wild Mushroom Fair. Members can receive a 10% discount on these items while they last.
  • Whenever there is an event that LAMS participates in, an email announcement will be sent to current members. This would include any forays that are planned or perhaps a callout for volunteers at a fair.
  • Before our regular meeting, the mushroom identification hour is held, where identification of mushrooms will be discussed of specimens collected by anyone. You will learn a lot about mushrooms and get to know other members of LAMS.
